Sharina Ramana is an accomplished HR leader with over 20 years of experience across education, charity, and the commercial sector. As Head of Human Resources at Middlesex Learning Trust, Sharina leads on our people strategy delivery, HR operations and supports our schools in developing effective, well-managed, and engaged workforces. 

Sharina brings a unique blend of leadership experience, having previously worked as Associate Director of HR Operations at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This multidisciplinary background enriches her strategic approach to HR, particularly in safeguarding, wellbeing, and supporting high-performing teams in complex environments. 

Over the past decade, Sharina has held senior HR roles within academy trusts and independent schools across North London. In addition to her extensive experience in education, she has also worked across the charity and commercial sectors, giving her a broad and adaptable perspective on people management, work collaboratively and build positive workplace cultures.  

Sharina is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and holds a degree in Mathematical Sciences from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. 

She is passionate about supporting staff, promoting fair and consistent HR practices, and helping schools create environments where both employees and pupils can thrive.
