Headteacher
The Compton School
Louise Ismail
I am Co-Headteacher at The Compton School, having first joined in 1999 as a supply teacher. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to stay—drawn to the strong sense of community, positivity and ambition that continues to define the school today.
Trained as an English and Drama teacher, I have held a range of leadership roles including Head of Year, Head of Department, Deputy Headteacher and Associate Headteacher. My career has been shaped by a deep commitment to both high achievement and strong pastoral care. As a Safeguarding Lead for a number of years, I have developed extensive experience in supporting vulnerable students and their families, while ensuring that every student is held to the highest expectations.
I am passionate about creating a school where every young person feels safe, supported and inspired to succeed. I believe strongly in aspiration for all, and in building a culture where students and staff are challenged, supported and empowered to achieve their very best.
