Teresa Tunnadine
Teresa Tunnadine was the Head for 17 years at The Compton School and was appointed as a National Leader of Education (NLE) in 2006. From 2017, she became the CEO of Middlesex Learning Trust multi-academy trust with The Compton as its founding school. Between 2003-12 Teresa worked as part of a team of consultant heads for London Challenge supporting a range of schools in London.
Teresa was involved with Challenge Partners as a Senior Partner from its inception and was an OFSTED inspector from 2012-15. She was also a member of a Regional Schools Commissioner Headteacher Board and sat on the Teaching School Council coordinating the work of 100+ Teaching Schools in North West London South Central. Teresa was formerly the Chair of the DfE Secondary Headteachers’ Reference Group, advising the DfE on a wide range of policies.
In 2013 she received an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University for her contribution to the education system nationally and received a CBE for services to education in the Queen’s birthday honours.
